Module Description

Advanced technical overview of the GPRS System

Target Audience

Operational and planning staff in the switching and radio domain.

Objectives

After successfully completing the course the student will:

  • Understand the purpose of implementing packet switching in the existing GSM system.

  • Understand how a terminal uses the GPRS system to access other networks such as corporate 

  • LAN or the internet

  • Understand the GPRS architecture

  • Know the interface looks like in GPRS as well as the logical channels.
