TEST EQUIPMENT SERVICE & CALIBRATION

Your test equipment is a valuable asset only if it performs according to its original specifications and can be used with trust whenever required. Our extensive SANAS-accredited service and calibration facilities have been designed with just that in mind. Facilities staffed by some of South Africa’s leading metrologists with a collective knowledge and experience of many decades and equal to the task of keeping the best at its best.

SANASInala Service is a division of Inala Technologies which is located in Gauteng and the Western Cape and which provides service and calibration on telecommunications, test and measurement and monitoring equipment supplied by Inala and all third party suppliers. Inala Service’s ISO 17025 Accredited Calibration Laboratories (No’s 142, 542, 742) for DC Low frequency, Time & Frequency and Radio frequency are authorised to issue certificates on all GSM and telecommunications equipment in the range from DC to 40 GHz.

To ensure the best turnaround time for the calibration of your equipment and to assist in effective management of your test equipment, Inala Service has implemented TRACE, Inala’s on-line job tracking system. Not only does TRACE send you weekly status reports on the progress of your equipment but it will also send you annual reminders notifying you that your equipment is due for re-calibration. This reminder is sent out six weeks prior to the expiration of your equipment’s last calibration certificate and will allow for pre-booking of equipment for calibration, ensuring a 3 to 5 day turnaround time. To further minimise your down time on equipment usage, we will calibrate your equipment on your premises locally or internationally.

SANAS-accredited service and calibration facilities

Our SANAS Accredited Calibration Laboratories in Gauteng and Western Cape provide for Electrical (AC&DC), Time and Frequency and Radio Frequency. The laboratory accreditations are as follows:

Laboratory Accreditation 142 for DC Low Frequency Metrology
Accreditation in this area is achieved via a number of artifact standards which are all traceable to the National Measuring Standards. Laboratory standards such as DC reference standards, resistance standards and high accuracy multifunction AC and DC standards all provide traceability for test tools and equipment such as AC and DC power sources, analogue and digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, current shunts, current clamp meters, resistors, process instrumentation and temperature readout and simulation devices.

Laboratory Accreditation 542 for Time and Frequency Metrology
This is achieved via a GPS-disciplined oscillator and the data supplied in the Standard Time and Frequency Bulletin by the National Measuring Standards. This is intended to maintain formal traceability. With this known reference, frequency traceability can be offered for items such as frequency sources, frequency counters and quartz and atomic frequency reference standards.

Laboratory Accreditation 742 for Radio Frequency Metrology
Accreditation in this discipline is achieved via a number of artefact standards which are all traceable to the National Measuring Standards. Laboratory standards such as reference power heads, reference power sources and standard step attenuators all provide traceability for test and measurement items such as power meters and power sensors, spectrum analysers, modulation analysers, scalar analysers, RF level sources, communications test sets, data and protocol analysers, attenuators and directional couplers.
