Tabor - Wideband Amplifiers

Power amplifiers are a must in applications requiring both complex signals as well as high voltage throughput. 

Such a combination is rare in high performance instrumentation and therefore external amplification devices must be used to achieve this task. The Tabor line of wideband amplifiers was designed to operate in conjunction with its series of waveform generators thus providing the ultimate solution for high-voltage, wideband applications.

Model 9200
Dual-Channel High-Voltage Wideband Amplifier


Model 9200 is a Dual-Channel, 2U, half-rack size, bench-top power amplifier designed for signal amplification. With unprecedented signal purity, Model 9200 amplifies signals from dc to over 500 KHz. The unit has a fixed gain of x15 however the same amplifier is available with custom gain and no signal purity or performance degradation whatsoever.

Model 3222
PXIBus WideBand Amplifier


The Model 3222 is a 3U single-slot, PXI-based power amplifier. The amplifier is used for signal amplification purpose. Offering unprecedented signal purity, the model 3222 amplifies signal from dc to over 20 MHz. 

 

The unit has a fixed gain of x10 however, one may order the same amplifier with custom gain, without jeopardizing signal purity and amplifier performance. Common problem with PXI equipment is the inability to produce high voltages, which results from low power supply rails. For example, waveform generators, or similar signal source devices, draw power from 12V rails. Consequently, they can not produce signals above 16Vp-p. The model 3222 solves this problem by using dc/dc converters to increase rail voltage plus custom components and unique design permit amplification of input signals to 40Vp-p into high impendence, or 20Vp-p into 50 ohm.

The unit has a fixed gain of 10 however, one may order the same amplifier with custom gain, without jeopardizing signal purity and amplifier performance.  Common problem with PCI equipment is the inability to produce high voltages, with results from low power supply rails.
