Spirent
SR 5500
Industry-Leading Fading Simulator
Spirent Communications’ SR5500 Wireless Channel Emulator accurately emulates complex wideband radio channel characteristics such as time-varying multipath delay spread, fast fading, slow shadow fading and channel loss. The SR5500 replicates real-world deployment conditions using powerful digital signal processing techniques, making it possible to isolate performance issues early in the development and design verification cycle. The SR5500’s unique Dynamic Environment Emulation (DEE) feature gives dynamic control of key channel parameters, or the ability to playback field measurements in the lab. Optional Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) further enhances the real-world conditions emulated by the SR5500. Early optimization of performance accelerates time-to-market and minimizes post-deployment issues.
The SR5500’s high performance, all-digital signal processing engine presents a realistic set of radio channel conditions to the most complex radio transmission technologies. With a high fidelity channel and long simulation repetition rates, the SR5500 ensures reliable and accurate performance evaluation.
