Spirent Landslide

Wireless Data Performance Testing

Landslide is the only test platform that simulates real world traffic models to evaluate wireless core packet data networks.

Landslide provides a comprehensive end-to-end platform that emulates millions of mobile data subscribers, all accessing the wireless network simultaneously via various access models. Landslide emulates all of the key wireless core packet data network elements, and combines control plane and data plane simulation. This provides “real-world” emulation of millions of mobile nodes in various stages of activation, deactivation, and “hand-off” between cells, all while transmitting and receiving real-world application data.

Landslide is designed to conduct performance and scalability testing for a wide range of wireless technologies and applications. Landslide tests each technology in a stand-alone environment or as a complete system. All of Landslide's protocols are supported on the same platform to give users a single test system for all of their mobility testing needs.

Key Features

  • Emulates up to 400,000 mobile nodes in a single chassis; up to 32 chassis can be used together

  • Emulates up to 1,000 network components per chassis

  • Provide QoS measurements for each individual context

  • Support upper layer protocols: TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, RTSP, RTP, MMS, WSP, WTP, TFTP, SIP

  • Easy-to-use GUI allows setup of thousands of mobile nodes and complex tests scenarios with a few mouse clicks

  • Support for IPv4 and IPv6

  • Real-world traffic mix tests both core network components and network system components

  • Tests core components and network server capability with a single test platform
