KI 7010 Automated Variable Optical Attenuator
The optical characteristics include power handling up to +23
dBm, return loss of a low 45 dB (optional 60 dB) and low wavelength dependence. Calibration is performed at every attenuator position in 0.05 dB increments, ensuring ultimate linearity and accuracy over the full 60 dB range.
The rugged ergonomic design incorporates dust and drop protected interchangeable optical connectors, simple menu driven 5 button automated operation, and battery life of 200 - 600 hours from 2 alkaline C cell batteries. The housing incorporates impact absorbing corners for drop protection. Operational modes available include: manual, relative, step, program and remote.
The instrument can be pre-programmed with up to 15 different user programs for use by unskilled personnel. In addition the S232 port can be used for remote control. Programming set-up is accessed via a hidden keypad.
