Bird's Digital Air Series are high-powered, air cooled loads that provide a fully self-contained and convenient means for measuring power and performing transmitter maintenance on today’s digital TV transmitters. Digital Air loads require no plumbing, pumps or complicated installation and setup procedures. The four fan design provides excellent cooling efficiency as well as a measure of redundancy, in case of fan failure.

Bird® now offers ultrastable, low VSWR loads for quick and precise measurement of generator power output when used with precision power sensors such as the Bird® 4020 & 4027A Series. Bird® models 8865SC13, 8890-300SC13, 8921SC13 & 8931-115SC13/-230SC13 not only provide low VSWR but also less than 0.1 dB total change in VSWR at process critical frequencies. There is no need for load warm-up or risk of repeatability due to calibration for different lengths of time. This can minimize the errors associated with this calibration and control one of the more critical process variables in the etch process.

RF Loads (5)

Precision RF Loads
Bird natural convection, air-cooled dry RF loads are designed as precision, heavy-duty 50-ohm terminations for isolators and specialized hybrid combining applications operating up to 1000 MHz. These loads have power density factors (ratio of rated power to heatsink surface area) that are among the lowest in the industry which means lower heatsink surface temperatures for a particular power dissipation. They also have excellent return loss characteristics over their entire operating range,making them ideal for use in test as well as operational applications.
