Augmentation Couplers (8)

Augmentation Coupler
Signal Augmentation Coupler facilitates an easy connection of a small indoor antenna to a section of hard-line or radiating transmission line (cable). Line sizes of 7/8" and 1 1/4" are supported. The tool allows a quick and precise incision to be made in previously installed cable and eliminates the need for expensive connectors and cutting of the coax into sections. There is also an Antenna Installation Tool specifically designed for the connection of the Signal Augmentation Coupler to the cable.

The tool cuts a slot through the jacket and copper shield to allow the coupling of RF energy flowing along the cable's center conductor to or from the antenna.

Crossband Couplers

Crossband Couplers allow multiband operation of tower transmission lines, reducing cost and tower loading. They are for transmit or receive operations with DC pass-thru models for tower mount Rx systems. Models are available for specialized transmit and receive applications. Cascading certain models will allow three frequency bands to use one transmission line. Complete response curves are available on request.

Coaxial Directional Couplers (2)

Bird's Coaxial Directional Couplers are world renowned for their high-quailty, robust construction and conservative power ratings. The use of non-magnetic materials and plating provide naturally lower intermodulation performance and safety when used in high magnetic fields such as MRI.

Hybrid Directional Couplers (4)

TX RX Systems Inc. has the most comprehensive line of Hybrid Directional Couplers for power division and signal distribution applications. The broad array of splits facilitates balanced signal distribution in the most comprehensive systems. Additionally, the Tri-Band products allow multi-band signal distribution via a single transmission line where multi-agency communication systems are required. They largely eliminate the near-far problem and maximize the cost-efficiency of the signal boosters. Bi-directional nature of the couplers allows them to be used for two-way communications with minimal loss above the desired coupling value.

Combiner/Dividers (5)

Bird® Combiner/Dividers Bird's power dividers/signal combiners are world renowned for their high-quailty, robust construction and conservative power ratings. The use of non-magnetic materials and plating provide naturally lower intermodulation performance and safety when used in high magnetic fields such as MRI. Other configurations and frequeny ranges available upon request.

Isolators and Circulators (31)

TX RX isolators are designed to provide the specified isolation under continuous duty at maximum power. Their conservative, rugged design and construction have a record of excellent reliability and high performance established through over 20 years of service in critical systems. Our circulators are available in dual or single junction configurations from 300 - 530 MHz and 746-960 MHz.

Intermodulation Suppression Panels (7)

TX RX manufactures an Intermodulation Suppression Panel which incorporates a single-junction isolator with a 100-watt load and a second harmonic filter on a 19 inch rack-mount shelf assembly. These are typically used to add an isolator to a transmitter or repeater connected to its own antenna. Although the unit itself is only 2 rack-units high (3.5 inch), care must be taken to budget enough space above the unit to provide adequate ventilation for the load's heatsink.

Second Harmonic Filters (3)

The ferrite used to make circulators is a non-linear material that generates a significant amount of 2nd harmonic power which can contribute to the formation of 3rd order intermodulation products when mixed with other transmitter carriers. For this reason, either a bandpass cavity filter or a harmonic filter must always be installed between the isolator and the antenna. TX RX manufactures single and dual-section filters for applications where bandpass cavities are not used.

Selector Switches (8)

Bird's Coaxwitch® Coaxial Selector Switches employ a unique, rugged and reliable design which permits positive contact, low insertion VSWR and negligible cross talk between channels. The switching mechanism is 4 1/2" of RG-87/U Teflon cable which is pulled away from the mating Male N connectors and rotated to the desired switch position.

Splitters (12)

Signal Splitters
Power dividers are grouped into Hybrid/Wilkensen and Stripline/coaxial designs. Hybrid designs are characterized by port-to-port isolation of
20 dB or more and are typically used in receiver multicoupler or low power signal booster applications. Stripline splitters have no port-to-port isolation and are most typically used to feed transmitter power to multiple antennas for phased arrays or similar applications. The models below are characterized by low-loss above the splitting loss and wide bandwidths. N connectors are standard.

Samplers (15)

Signal Samplers are non-directional taps for sampling RF signals from a main transmission line, with minimal effect to the power level of the signals on the main line. The sampled port can be connected to a Spectrum Analyzer for analysis and measurement, or connected to a low gain, distribution antenna in Signal Boosters systems to augment communications in buildings and tunnels. We offer a broad range of sampling levels to accommodate a wide variety of applications.

Variable Signal Samplers (2)

The 4273 and 4275 Signal Samplers are “Stand-alone, ”wide-range THRULINE® RF coupling probes for spectrum analysis, RF signal observation on a scope, or frequency counting and control. It feature very low VSWR throughout a broad frequency and attenuation range. Insertion loss is a negligible 0.1 dB. The Samplers produce an unrectified sample at the BNC port that is adjustable. Once adjusted, the setting can be locked in place. The main power connectors are Bird® QC type.
